Hi Toon lovers, this is a message i recently posted to a woman who loves the kids toon fanart, and has done an amazing amount of it herself, but who i thought really needed a heads up,

Hey, please just call this constructive criticism, you have a well-developed style and some real talent, toon art is definitely an interesting genre, but a short look at your gallery reveals not so subtly that you've managed to sexually objectify an immense number of children's cartoon characters, I'm not a concerned parent or a sexually conservative religious person, im a female 18 year old who has an inkling into just how many young people use this site, these are the same cartoons they see on tv, and this is probably a really confusing context to see child characters like "tootie" or the "hey arnold" gang in, maybe think about making all but your own original characters off limits to those with mature content filtering? because while plenty of your fanart is acceptably censored, wearing clothes etc, the sexually exploitive exagerations you have used in the toons in question are part of very convincing and distinctive characters of childrens programming, and are still in my opinion too mature for the younger audiences who are easily able to recognise them as the characters they see on tv, an artists' good censorship plays just as much of a role in a young persons' safe and secure use of the internet as a monitoring parent does, if its possible could you please make a contribution to a safer internet for young people by censoring the children's programme toons as explicit or mature?

So this message in a nutshell was me asking her to filter her childrens cartoon fanart (pretty much all of it) that is sexually exploitive, even though none of the unfiltered art she did contains explicit full-frontal nudity or particularly explicit sexual or violent conduct, the exaggerated sexual features of these very recognisable childrens cartoon characters are (i feel) still unnacceptable veiwing for some of the young people on this site, the toon fanart world is absolutely gigantic and its following is really something, but until young people are mature enough for what goes on behind explicit content filtering, i don't think these childhood characters should be portrayed so sexually eeeerm... Endowed.

i mean no offense or criticism of the artists and their work in question, it is merely a conclusion i have made,
